GCG Manufacturing Quality Engineer / ISO Coordinator in Columbus, Nebraska

Paige Electric, a GCG Company, is currently seeking a Quality Engineer to join our Columbus, NE team !

What you’ll do
Oversee and maintain our Quality Management System, ensuring full compliance with ISO standards
Schedule, coordinate, and conduct both internal audits, providing necessary training for internal auditors
Manage the Corrective/Preventive Actions process, driving solutions to closure and addressing audit findings and customer issues
Act as liaison for supplier quality issues
Maintain Quality System Documentation, ensuring consistency with ISO standards
Lead first article inspections and PPAP approvals, ensuring alignment between engineering documentation and manufacturing methods
Maintain Supplier and Customer monthly Scorecards; sending out monthly reports to suppliers shown on the Preferred Supplier list
Create and maintain comprehensive work instructions based on process flows, fostering a safe and efficient work environment
Coordinate activities associated with “first article build” of new products, ensuring that fabricated items are traceable to documented standards at the time of release of product into the production mode
Engage with customers to resolve quality issues, including site visits and communication as required
Create Work Instructions based off Process Flows
Perform other duties as assigned
What you’ll bring
In-depth understanding and proficiency with ISO 9001 standards
Experience as an Internal Auditor for Quality Management Systems, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence
Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to effectively liaise with all levels of facility personnel, customers, and suppliers
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong organizational and multitasking skills
Initiative, independence, and the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
Education: An Associate’s Degree in a related field is preferred, but we are open to candidates with 3+ years of experience in the quality field, especially those with experience in an ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 working environment
